Day 11 - A Song From Your Favourite Band

This post is part of a series of posts in The 30 Day Song Challenge

When anything concerns favourites and favouritism in general my responses tend to be fairly fluid changing over time.  Related to another post a band I quite like right now is The Birthday Massacre and I would say of the moment they are my favourite band.  I found them a few weeks ago when I was randomly watching youtube videos, at the time it was related to the Tiffany video for "I Think We're Alone Now".  After browsing their videos my favourite track by them of the moment is 'Looking Glass'.

I like this track for a number of reasons, partly there feels like there's an influence of 'How Soon Is Now' the theme to Charmed and The Craft.  Also for the lyrics:

"a boyish notion, a false emotion, these words are spoken despite my love, a fool's devotion, is set in motion my eyes are open now"

The lyrics as a whole to this song really have meaning for me.  Music I can relate to even if new to me, jumps ahead of the others and straight into my inner circle.  Only a few weeks since I discovered TBM and I have already played their music exhaustively.  If you follow me on twitter you'll have probably seen my tweets of the videos etc.  Here is the video for Looking Glass [also the Album title]
