As with any post of this nature I have to add the disclaimer, that if you know me well enough nothing would surprise you in terms of your expectations of me. Having said that I tried to think right outside the box and think of Movies that I loved but never spoke about. I found them. There are a series of Movies, made in the UK that hold somewhat of a charismatic embodiment of British Eccentricity, to anyone who has seen this series of Movies you will undoubtedly agree that the 'Carry On' series is something that sadly if you are not from the UK you probably won't appreciate as much as we.
From Wikipedia:
The Carry On films are a long-running series of low-budget British comedy films, directed by Gerald Thomas and produced by Peter Rogers. They are an energetic mix of parody, farce, slapstick and double entendres.I loved these Movies as a child and I have to say even today they make me smile, laugh and in one or two cases cry [in a good way though]. Of all the Movies in the series I didn't have to think twice about which I would pick: 'Carry On Cleo'. Watch the trailer and if you are interested go and buy the Movie, I won't say much on this, there's not much to say, Carry On is a series that you can't really describe with justice you have to watch it to understand, you'll either love it or hate it - as is the way with many things British.
Twenty-nine original films and one compilation were made between 1958 and 1978 at Pinewood Studios, with an additional movie made in 1992.
