I couldn't make a list of Eurovision entries without mentioning this one in particular. If you know me at all you will know that I was a massive Celine Dion fan and my music library has almost every album she ever released. Whilst my love of her has waned in recent years due to the direction she took her musical career [down, in my opinion] you can not deny she has been one of the most successful female singers of all time and arguably she owes it all to Eurovision. That's right, if you didn't know before she won the Eurovision Song Contest she was a relatively unknown act as are many even today. Those who say the Eurovision Song Contest has no merit can find it extremely hard to argue with her success and the amount of money she has made in her career is enough to silence even the staunchest critics.
Although I like her as an artist and I do like this song, it is quite low on my list as it was so long ago and there have been many acts since in my opinion which were better. That is not statement on her as an artist, this performance was very early in her career and while she had great potential even then, it was by no means her best performance of her career.
